    Born in London in 1981, Hancox writes on music, popular culture and politics in The GuardianThe New StatesmanIndependentFive Dials, ProspectQ MagazineFriezeNew InquiryDazed&ConfusedMuteWire and National.  He coauthored My Fellow Americans (2008) with Tom Humberstone.  He was the editor of Fight BackA Reader on the Winter of Protest (2011).  His other works are Kettled Youth: The Battle Against the Neoliberal Endgame (2011), Utopia and the Valley of Tears: A Journey Through the Spanish Crisis (2012) and Stand Up Tall: Dizzee Rascal and the Birth of Grime (2013).
