    FİNN-OLE HEINRICH

    Finn-Ole Heinrich was born in 1982. He grew up in Cuxhaven, Germany and trained as a film director in Hannover. He published his first book, “Die taschen voll wasser” (2005) at the age of 23. “Frerk, du Zwerk!” (2011) was his first children's book. It tells the story of Frerk, whose life is turned upside-down when he finds a strange egg. In his children's book trilogy, “Die erstaunlichen Abenteuer der Maulina Schmitt” (2013-2014), he tells the story of how ten-year-old Paulina’s life changes after an unfortunate event. Heinrich received the German Children's Literature Award in 2012, and the German-French Youth Literature Award in 2014. He has been awarded various fellowships, including that of the German Literature Fund Association. Some of his works have been adapted for the stage. His novel “Raeberhaende” (2007) has even been included in the curriculum of secondary schools in Hamburg. His works have been translated into many languages, including Turkish. He lives in Hamburg and the south of France.
