    JAN VON HOLLEBEN

    Jan von Holleben was born in 1997. His father was a cameraman and his mother a child therapist. He spent most of his teenage years living in a commune in southern Germany. He studied special education in Freiburg, and the history and theory of photography in Farnham, England. He worked in London as a photo editor and art director, and in 2006 he started working as a professional photographer. He published his first book, “Träumen vom Fliegen” with writer Arnold Stadler. Jan von Holleben lives in Berlin and works for publications such as Geo, DIE ZEIT, SPIEGEL, NEON Magazin and SZ Magazin. His works have received many awards in Germany and abroad. His non-fiction books for children, in which he takes an entertaining approach to subjects like sexuality, religion and brain research, have been translated into many languages.
