    MAYA HERMAN-SEKULIC

    Herman-Sekulic an American writer of Serbian roots has 14 international publications and is a poet who has a large audience, a popular novelist, a respected essay writer, a bilingual scholar and an important translator. She received her doctorate from Princeton University on “The Philosophy of Comparative Literature”. She has given lectures at prestigious Universities such as Princeton and Rutgerts. She has worked as a guest lecturer at Harvard, Yale, Colombia and Iowa University.  The English translation of her novel Ma Belle was a runner up for the International Dublin Literature Award. The Tesla biography she wrote entitled Who was Nikola Tesla? The Genius who gave us Light as well as her English French electronic novel poem collection De La Terre de Desolation/Out of the Waste Land was published in 2015. With the 2017 publication of Lady of Vincha she reached back through time to her poetic roots. In October of 2017, an international academic meeting was held concerning Ms Sekulic’s publications.
     
     In the October of 2017 Ms Sekuliç had a series of 3 books containing selected works published. One of these books called Sketches for Portraits, contains anecdotes she has written about important fellow international writers. This particular book also rather uniquely contains several conference speeches. The second book in the series, Digital Galaxy, is about different publication periods from the Guttenberg to the Digital. The last book of the series, Poetry, is comprised of selected new poems.
     
     Maya Herman-Sekulic, is a world traveller and has had many pieces published in important magazines. She was born in Belgrad and studied World Literature. Having spent the last 10 years in the Far East and she now divides her time between New York and Belgrad.
